EVNICT: Comprehensively fulfilling tasks in 2018

Excellently completing the tasks assigned by the group in 2018 is a favourable “momentum step” for the EVN Information and Communication Technology Company (EVNICT) to continue striving to perform its tasks in 2019 in order to confirm the leading position in the private Information Technology (IT) and telecommunication sector of the group.

At the conference of Summarizing work in 2018 and Deploying tasks in 2019 organized by EVNICT on January 9, 2019, the General Director of EVN Tran Dinh Nhan acknowledged and praised the positive contributions and crucial role of EVNICT in the general development of the group.

According to EVN's General Director, Viet Nam's power system has currently reached the 2^nd for scale in ASEAN, so the scope of the IT system in the Power sector also needs to be advanced and modern to be commensurate with the power system scale. EVNICT needs to learn technology from advanced units and countries around the world to continue making positive contributions to the development of EVN. The quality of human resources also needs to be improved in parallel with mechanisms to encourage talented people.

In 2019, with the common target of the group, EVNICT needs to study and actively participate in developing software and IT tools to support the group in managing load demand, controlling information about rooftop solar power projects, etc.

For shared software in the group, EVN’s General Director requested EVNICT to focus on improving the friendliness in the interface, continuing to upgrade the software with the criteria towards convenience and efficiency for users.

Particularly, EVNICT needs to show its core role and actively participate in studying and applying achievements of Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0) into all management, production and business activities of the group.

Responding to the tasks assigned by the group’s leaders, Mr. Pham Duong Minh - Director of EVNICT committed that all staffs and employees of the company would unite, strive and promote the creative and effective working spirit to strive for completing 100% of targets for operation, quality, stability and reliability of private telecommunications network and information technology assigned by the group. At the same time, the company set the target to complete the tasks in the Scheme on Studying, Developing and Applying Technologies of IR 4.0 of EVN and focused its resources to implement the theme in 2019: Improving operational efficiency of the power system and electricity market.
