At the ceremony, EVN’s Chairman of Board of Directors Mr. Duong Quang Thanh praised performance achievements of EVNNPT in recent years, which has ensured the safe operation of transmission grid across the country. At the same time, power grid investment and construction projects have met their set schedule targets, enabling evacuation of electricity generated by power plants and meeting critical electricity consumption demands all over the country.

EVN’s Chairman asked EVNNPT to further strengthen its technical management and operation; step by step automating the management and operation of substations; modernizing SCADA systems; researching and applying achievements of the industrial revolution 4.0 towards the goal of becoming one of the leading power transmission corporations in Asia by 2025.

In particular, EVNNPT should establish long - term financial plans to secure and develop its capital sources; adopting solutions to raise labor productivity, building up human resources strong enough to meet the increasing demand for management and operation of power transmission networks.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Tung - General Director of EVNNPT in his speech at the ceremony stated that in order to continue fulfilling its mission of ensuring safe, uninterrupted and stable power transmission for the socio - economic development of the country, as well as developing further to reach regional and international development levels, the Corporation will drastically implement 7 groups of solutions proposed in the fields of: science and technology; investment and construction; management and operation; organization and structure; human resource development and corporate governance; finance and capital mobilization; communication, public relations and international relations; environmental protection and combating climate changes.

EVNNPT aims to become one of the top four power transmission organizations in ASEAN by 2020, one of the leading power transmission organizations in top ten countries in Asia by 2025. And EVNNPT will strive for achieving an advanced level in the field of power transmission in the world by 2030.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Hoang Quoc Vuong (rightmost) and EVN’s Chairman Duong Quang Thanh (leftmost), under the authorization of the Prime Minister, awarded the Prime Minister’s Certificate of Merit to EVNNPT’s leaders.

As the "backbone" of Vietnam's power system, EVNNPT has become an important part of the infrastructure system, a prerequisite for developing Vietnam's competitive electricity market.

Over the past 10 years, EVNNPT has been operating the transmission power system safely, uninterruptedly and stably, with the amount of transmitted power of 1,201.2 billion kWh, at the average growth rate of 10.95% per year, thereby together with EVN contributing to securing sufficient electricity supply for the socio - economic development of the country.

Up to now, EVNNPT has been managing and operating a total of 24,423 km of 220 - 500 kV transmission lines, an increase of 2.22 times compared to the first day of establishment; 142 substations with a total capacity of 82,438 MVA, a 2.29 fold increase in terms of number of substations and a 3.72 fold increase in terms of total capacity.

The power transmission system has expanded to all provinces and cities in the country and connected with power grids of countries in the region with increasingly modern technologies.

After 10 years, the labor productivity by the length of power lines of EVNNPT has grown 1.8 times, the labor productivity by the capacity of substations has grown 2.7 times. The general labor productivity index of the Corporation is much higher than the average levels of EVN and of the whole country.

Some key indicators of EVNNPT up to 2020:

- The transmitted electricity amounted to 219.2 billion kWh.

- Power loss rate ≤ 2.15%;

- Labor productivity by transmitted electricity amount: ≥ 32.66 million kWh / person
