EVNSPC and Agribank enters into a credit contract to sponsor the project of 220kV Kien Binh - Phu Quoc transmission line

On October 9th 2019, in Ho Chi Minh city, Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) and Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) signed a comprehensive cooperation Agreement and Credit Contract to co-finance the implementation of the 220kV Kien Binh – Phu Quoc transmission line project (Kien Giang province).

Specifically, Agribank will provide EVNSPC with a VND 1,390 billion loan, equivalent to 66.44% of total investment of this project.

The 220kV Kien Binh - Phu Quoc transmission line project has a total length of 80.4km overhead lines, consisting of two circuits, with 169 pillars. In which, 39 pillars are located on Kien Luong shore; 13 locations on the Phu Quoc coast and 117 locations offshore. 

The projects aim to increase the power source to serve socio-economic development, ensure national security and defense for Phu Quoc island district, which has been growing rapidly in recent years. The total investment of the whole project is over VND 2,200 billion.

Comprehensive Agreement by and between EVNSPC and Agribank is implemented with the principle of balancing, respecting the mutual interests of both parties and in accordance with the provisions of Vietnamese law in cooperation aspects; commitment to exchange operational experience as well as providing information necessary to achieve the goals of cooperation in a convenient and effective manner.
