The Swedish Minister of Infrastructure and Housing expressed the wish that the two countries continue to promote the bilateral cooperation relationship between Sweden and Vietnam in fields such as energy transition/green energy, technical support in the field of HVDC (High-voltage Direct Current Technology), technical support for grid stability, power quality, etc., through Swedfund - Sweden's Development Cooperation Fund.

EVN’s President and CEO said that organizations like the former SIDA and the current Swedfund are high-quality and effective bridges that help train high-quality personnel for Vietnam's electricity industry, while connecting businesses of the two countries with each other, thereby seeking opportunities to cooperate, sharing technology, experience in construction and management in the fields of power grid improvement, power transmission, power quality or renewable energy sources such as solar power, offshore wind power and pumped storage hydropower.
Within the framework of the program, the two sides discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation between Vietnam Electricity and Swedish stakeholders, fields expecting support from EVN, and funding options and solutions of Sweden through Swedfund for the development of the Electricity industry in Vietnam
