EVN’s Vice President Vo Quang Lam works with Russian Embassy and Hanoi National University

On November 14, in Hanoi, EVN’s Vice President Vo Quang Lam welcomed and worked with a delegation of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Vietnam led by Mr. Evgeny Mitrophanov, Counselor for Culture and Education and representatives of Hanoi National University on cooperation in human resource development and training programs.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Vladimir Vladimirovich, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Vietnam, Director of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Hanoi; Mr. Le Anh Tuan, Deputy Head of Development Cooperation Department, Hanoi National University.

According to Counselor Evgeny Mitrophanov, Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI) and Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) will cooperate with Hanoi National University to establish an alliance of leading technical universities in Vietnam and the Russian Federation with the goal of further enhancing the effectiveness of cooperation activities in science and technology.

In particular, the Government of the Russian Federation will support EVN and leading scientific and technical universities in Vietnam in training human resources both long-term and short-term according to practical and completely free programs at MPEI and MAI.

MPEI and MAI are both permanent members of the Association of International Universities and the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), training scientific and technical experts for many countries. Training majors include renewable energy, aircraft manufacturing, rockets, space, computer technology, computer science, nuclear power, artificial intelligence, hydrogen, etc.

At the meeting, EVN proposed training programs in the Russian Federation for trainees including EVN’s power plant operating engineers, EVN’s managers, and lecturers at EVN’s vocational training schools, etc.

The leader of EVN hoped that in the coming time, the two sides would have more opportunities to strengthen and expand cooperation, especially in the fields of scientific research, technology application and transfer, and expert training.

Also at the meeting, the two sides agreed to further share information, facilitate cooperation promotion, develop appropriate training programs, and consider dispatching managers and engineers to long-term and short-term training programs in the Russian Federation.
