The Central region in general and Quang Binh province in particular are great potentials and suitable for developing solar energy sources with 4 sunny seasons, which are favourable opportunities to develop the energy source.
According to scientists, horizontal radiation value in the locality fluctuates from 897kWh/m2/year to 2,108kWh/m2/year, appropriate to value of 2.46kWh/m2/day to 5.77kWh/m2/day.
Mr. Tran Xuan Cong, Deputy Director of Quang Binh PC said that with practical benefits, in the coming time, the company will continue to strongly promote solar power on mass media, customers transaction points and customers communication channels about incentive policies on solar power energy; effective benefits of solar power installation, solar power equipment on the market, procedures for connecting solar power to the grid, etc.
Currently, many businesses in Quang Binh province have focused on investing in rooftop solar power and considered it as an effective solution in cost saving and load reducing for power source serving production and business of the locality.
For enterprises doing business in tourism and services, in addition to using the rooftop solar power helps reduce the load of electricity sources and cost savings, it is also the direction to the model of “green business” and “green tourism” which are eco-friendly and creating beautiful images in the community.
Enterprises in manufacturing sector are also not out of the trend such as Cau 4 Brick Tile Company in Dong Hoi; Ngo Hai Truong husbandry private enterprise in Van Ninh commune, Quang Ninh district have invested solar battery systems with a capacity of 50kWh on a system of cattle and poultry farms with a breeding facilities scale of about 3,000 m2, etc.
Besides, according to statistics, there are currently hundreds of customers in Dong Hoi city and districts, towns investing in this model with a suitable capacity for household sizes from 3 to 10kWp.
