Energizing 220 kV network project supplying electricity to Dak Nong aluminum electrolysis plant

On May 2nd, 2017, the Central Power Project Management Board (CPMB) in coordination with other relevant organizations has energized a 220 kV network project to supply electricity to Dak Nong aluminum electrolysis plant.

The project was successfully energized in the evening of May 2nd, 2017; comprising three new double circuit 220 kV transmission lines; the total length of these transmission lines is 12.74 km; the project is located at Nhan Co commune, Dak R’lap district, Dak Nông province.

This 220 kV network project aims at supplying electricity to Dak Nong aluminum electrolysis plant which is classified as a specially preferential investment project approved by the Prime Minister at Decision No. 822/QD-TTg dated May 30th, 2014.

The project has commenced since May 27th, 2016, with the total investment cost of VND 160 billion of which VND 135 billion is arranged by a commercial loan financed by Indovina Bank Ltd. – Hoi An Branch and the remaining finance is a counterpart fund of the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT).

The project is invested by EVNNPT, managed and implemented by the Central Power Project Management Board, designed by Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company No. 3, constructed by Power Construction Installation Company Ltd. No. 2, and operated by Power Transmission Company No. 3.
