In the second half of the year, EVN Deputy General Director Pham Hong Phuong asked the whole construction site to focus on the construction of critical road items. In which, the working mode of 3 consecutive shifts is required for the excavation of foundation pits in the water intake areas and plants; strengthening large construction equipment and machinery; taking a synchronous solution to transport soil and rock materials continuously, always maintaining the number of vehicles to meet the load conditions when participating in road traffic to ensure construction intensity.
According to Power Project Management Board No. 1, in the past 6 months, the soil excavation for water-intaking reached 80% of the plan; plant excavation achieved 85% of the plan. The site management has organized training and issued cards on occupational safety and health for staff and employees working on the construction site; installed poles, reflective warning lines along public service roads, areas with deep abysses (road slopes) and danger signs; implemented measures to minimize dust dispersion in the construction site and on the roads transporting soil and rock materials by regular watering along the route, covering tarpaulin on trucks.
The Board has also signed contracts with units to collect and treat hazardous waste; collect and treat industrial and daily-life waste at the contractor's camp auxiliary areas.
