According to EVN Vice President Ngo Son Hai, in 2023, to ensure electricity supply during the peak of the hot season, EVN will have to maximally mobilize coal-fired power plants and gas turbines. Imported coal-fired power plants will be mobilized according to system needs, ensuring technical requirements against grid overload and voltage quality.
According to calculations, Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant is likely to have been mobilized maximally in the second quarter. The EVN Vice President required that employees of the Plant focus on improving the availability factor, ready to meet the mobilization of the system. At the same time, the Plant must perform well in the economic and technical indicators, and continue to reduce the heat loss rate as planned. The plant must review and arranges repair and maintenance plans for the units in a reasonable and effective manner.

In particular, Vinh Tan 4 thermal power plant needs to ensure coal fuel for operation and ensure minimum coal inventory. The plant needs to be more active in coal management for the plant, improve the ability to forecast fuel demand to have a plan to ensure coal for operation in the peak dry season.
Regarding environmental work, according to EVN Vice President Ngo Son Hai, Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant has implemented many solutions to limit dust emission, ensuring the water and air environment. The plant needs to focus on promoting the consumption of ash and slag, propose local support, and create conditions to promote the use of ash and slag in leveling.

Report on the production and business situation at the plant, Mr. Vu Thanh Hai - Plant Director said that since the beginning of the year, the total power output of the two expanded Vinh Tan 4 and Vinh Tan 4 thermal power plants has reached more than 1,062 million kWh, reaching more than 19% of the plan in 2023. Phuoc Thai solar power plant produced 24.29 million kWh, reaching 33% of the year plan. Currently, the units are in good availability.

Regarding environmental protection, Mr. Vu Thanh Hai said, this is always an issue that the plant focuses on implementing. During the windy season in 2023, the plant has been implementing all solutions to prevent dust emission; use all available equipment and conditions to control dust emission. Specifically, implementing shielding solutions on conveyors, and coal storage; implementing solutions to atomize, and keep coal storage moist, operating dust extraction systems in transition towers... At the peak of the windy season, the plant arranges leaders of units to be on duty overtime to monitor, urge and promptly handle the dust emission control.
