Ho Chi Minh City: System Average Interruption Duration Index of customer was only 132.5 minutes

SAIDI (System Average Interruption Duration Index) in Ho Chi Minh city in the first 10 months 2018 decreased by nearly 62% over the same period of 2017.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC), over the past time, the Corporation has strongly applied science and technology, automation and modernization into operation management of power systems, contributing to improving reliability of power supply.

The Corporation has put Remote control center and SCADA/DMS system into operation; set up remote monitoring system for 220/110kV, customer and public stations; conducted loop-circuit energization and connection for 100% of the medium-voltage transmission lines.

Especially, the Corporation has performed 4,426 turns on the live-line; cleaned hotline insulation porcelain for a total of 3,084 pole positions, thereby significantly reducing the customer's outage time.

Along with the operation management, EVNHCMC has also strongly applied information technology to its business and customer services, making it easy for customers to access electricity services.

Until now, there have been 159,707 customer turns in the city using the customer care application of the Corporation, with 22 functions, providing full information about electricity to customers; 334,738 subscribers and visits to Zalo page of EVNHCMC, etc.

Together with SAIDI; SAIFI (System Average Interruption Frequency Index) is only 1.7 times, decreasing by 55.92% compared to the same period of 2017.
