To achieve the above results, EVNHCMC has implemented many solutions to save electricity. Among them, the Ho Chi Minh City Power sector in coordination with departments and agencies raises awareness and action of organizations, businesses, and households on efficient and economical use of electricity. EVNHCMC also petitions the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Department of Industry and Trade for urgent solutions to increase electricity savings during the peak dry season of 2024.

Notably, implementing Directive No. 20/CT-TTg, EVNHCMC has completed signing commitments to save electricity with 1,809 large customers with 1 million kWh/year or more and with 49,239 customers with less than 1 million kWh/year; signing a load reduction agreement when the power system encountered difficulties with 1,323 large industrial production customers, the agreed capacity reduction was 193,248 MW.
EVNHCMC has established a specialized working group to deploy demand response (DR), along with quickly deploying demand response events as soon as the load forecast is likely to exceed capacity distributed by The National Load Dispatch Center. At the same time, EVNHCMC works with all large industrial production and service commercial customers to agree on demand response when required. EVNHCMC carries out load shifting work in the months of April-July 2024, from the time frame of 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. to after 10:00 p.m., the shifting proposed capacity from 5 - 10% compared to the customer's planned capacity.
EVNHCMC in coordination with the People's Committee of the district, Thu Duc City organized an electricity-saving inspection, cumulatively implemented in the first 6 months of the year reaching 101% of the plan. EVNHCMC deploys and directs units to increase electricity savings at headquarters, especially in the dry season months, and actively implements urgent solutions to increase electricity savings in 2024.
Along with that, communication work is also promoted by the EVNHCMC. Outstanding programs are the "Green Family" Movement; in coordination with press agencies organized the seminar "demand response, current situation and solutions to reduce the risk of overloading power grid"; in coordination with Ho Chi Minh City Television organized the Gameshow "Students join hands to use electricity safely and economically"; in coordination with Thanh Nien newspaper launched the writing contest "Save electricity - Become habit" - 2nd time in 2024.
