Hoa Binh Hydropower Company: power output reaches 280 billion kWh

From 20:20 on December 30, 1988 (when Unit 1 was energized to the national grid) to November 9, 2024, Hoa Binh Hydropower Company has produced 280 billion kWh, marking 36 years of effective management, operation, and exploitation of the country's multi-purpose strategic hydropower project.
Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant plays an important role in regulating flood control for the Northern Delta region and contributing to ensuring power supply for the country's socio-economic development.

With the output of 280 billion kWh that Hoa Binh Hydropower Company achieved on November 9, 2024, it marked a journey of more than a third of a century with the efforts made by the Company's leaders, together with the staff, workers, and employees in the task of both ensuring safe flood control for the downstream area and effectively exploiting and generating power from water resources.
Currently, the Company has been determined to promote emulation in production and working, focusing on innovation, applying advanced science and technology, and continuing to replace and upgrade mechanical equipment items of turbines and 220kV oil cable systems to improve the reliability and operational efficiency of the equipment; improving the availability coefficient of generators to ensure safe and stable operation. Thereby, Hoa Binh Hydropower Company practically achieved achievements to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnam Electricity (December 21, 1954 - December 21, 2024).
