In 2024, EVNCPC to invest in building 35 new power grid projects in Gia Lai

This is one of the information from the working session of the leaders of the Central Power Corporation with the leaders of Gia Lai province on February 21, to remove obstacles in investing in power grid projects in the province.

Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Que, and representatives of leaders of a number of departments and branches in the province welcomed and worked with the delegation at the working session.

For EVNCPC's side, EVNCPC General Director Ngo Tan Cu also attended the working session.

PC Gia Lai has guaranteed power supply to 100% of communes in the province, with 99.99% of households using electricity.

To ensure power supply in the province, EVNCPC constantly invests and develops power projects. Last year, PC Gia Lai was assigned by EVNCPC to deploy the construction of 81 projects with a total capital plan of more than VND 246 billion. In 2024, PC Gia Lai is assigned by EVNCPC to manage and invest in the construction of 35 new construction projects with a total investment capital of VND 195,971 billion.

At the working session, EVNCPC leaders proposed that the province create conditions and soon resolve problems affecting the construction progress of some projects such as: 110kV connection behind Chu Se 220kV substation, Tra Da 110kV substation and connection, Dak Doa 110kV station and connection, 110kV connection behind An Khe 220kV substation, Pleime 110kV substation and connection, completion of medium voltage power grid behind 110kV Ia Grai substation, etc. Main problems such as compensation, site clearance, road corridors, project investment policies, land lease procedures for completed projects, and so on.

General Director Ngo Tan Cu added that Gia Lai province has great potential to develop renewable energy sources. Therefore, promoting power grid investment in the province plays a very important role, contributing to improving transmission capacity and supplementing power sources from Gia Lai and surrounding areas to the Northern provinces, especially after the 500kV line, circuit 3, is put into operation.
