Phu Yen Power System Control Center has been officially operating since December 25, 2016, being a high-tech facility, one of the pre-requisites for building a smart grid in this province.
Until 2019, the Control Center has monitored and remotely controlled 7/7 110kV substations, 2 hydropower plants (Son Giang and Da Den), 2 solar power plants (Xuan Tho 1, Xuan Tho 2) and 120 switchgears on medium voltage grids. The total investment cost of the Control Center was over VND 100 billion.

The conversion of 100% 110kV substations to unmanned ones has helped reduce over 50% of operation personnel, improve labor productivity and power supply reliability.
EVNCPC presented 10 gratitude houses to poor and policy-based preferentially treated households in Phu Yen province
According to Mr. Vo Quang Lam – Vice President of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and Chairman of Board of Directors of the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC), EVN sets a target that by the year 2020, all 110kV substations will be controlled remotely and automatically. Phu Yen PC has achieved this target one year ahead, which has demonstrated great efforts of the Company.
Currently, the electricity growth rate of Phu Yen province is more than 17%, in which industry and construction loads account for a large proportion. Regarding the satisfaction level of customers in the province, Phu Yen PC gained 8.32 points in 2018.
Mr. Vo Quang Lam also informed about the electricity supply situation of the whole power system in the hot season and expected provincial leaders to pay attention to and create favorable conditions for encouraging people to install rooftop solar PV systems and use electricity in a saving and efficient manner.
On this occasion, the Central Power Corporation presented 10 gratitude houses to poor and policy-based preferentially treated families to celebrate the 30th anniversary of re-establishment of Phu Yen province.
