EVNNPT puts the 220kV Binh Long – Tay Ninh into operation

The Central Vietnam Power Projects Management Board (CPMB) has cooperated with related organizations to energize and put into operation the 220kV Binh Long 2 – VT1A branch of 220kV Dau Tieng section, thereby completing all of the 220kV Binh Long - Tay Ninh transmission line.

The 220kV Binh Long - Tay Ninh transmission line was successfully energized

The 2-circuit 220kV Binh Long - Tay Ninh transmission line is nearly 73km long, from 220kV Binh Long to 220kV Tay Ninh substation.

The project is invested with a total of over VND 541 billion by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), managed by CPMB and  operated by PTC4 .

The 220kV Binh Long - Tay Ninh transmission line is put into operation, contributing to prevent overload for the 220kV Binh Long - Ben Cat - My Phuoc and 220kV Cu Chi - Trang Bang transmission lines; improving the reliability of power supply and ensuring the flexibility in operating of  the 220kV regional grid.

The project is also aimed at releasing power from the Dau Tieng 1, 2, 3 Solar Power Plant and ensuring power supply for the South from 2019 onwards.

Previously, CPMB had energized and put into operation phase 1 of the project (220kV Tay Ninh - VT1A branch  of 220kV Dau Tieng section) on 29 March 2019.
