The conference program will be presented by experts from EVN, JEPIC, and J-POWER with the following topics: Development and integration of renewable energy sources in Vietnam's electricity system; Overview of Japan’s power industry and integration of renewable energy sources in Japan; Connectivity mechanism and technical standards in Japan in integrating renewable energy into the power system.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Hideo Takahashi - Deputy Head of the Electricity Cooperation Department - JEPIC said that the partnership-cooperation relationship in the field of renewable energy (RE) between Japan and Vietnam has existed since 1998 and has been built, developed more, and more firmly as well as expanded into many different fields, especially in the wind and solar power industry.
Through the workshop "Integrate renewable energy sources in the power system", JEPIC wishes to cooperate and exchange information, experiences, and knowledge from experts in the construction, operation, and integration of renewable energy into the power system with Vietnamese colleagues.
Mr. Ngo Quoc Phuong, Deputy Head of the Investment Management Department, Vietnam Electricity, said that the conference is a useful two-way information exchange opportunity, especially to help EVN's technical staff and units gain valuable experience from Japanese colleagues to apply them in practice in managing and operating the power system in the context of integrating renewable energy sources, contributing to the overall development of Vietnam's electricity industry, while strengthening the cooperative relationship between Japan and Vietnam.
