According to Minister Nguyen Hong Dien, in 2025, high economic growth is forecasted, reaching about 7-8%, from 2026 onwards, striving for even higher growth. Therefore, the energy supply must be well prepared, in which the electricity growth rate will be at least 11-12%, and even higher in the dry season.

The Minister said that the electricity demand of businesses, the economy, and society is huge, so it is necessary to develop a plan of system operation and power supply that is practical, meeting growth needs with safety first.

It is known that up to this point, the Electricity Regulatory Authority and the National Power System and Electricity Market Operation Company Limited (NSMO) have completed a draft report on the power supply situation in 2024, a draft plan for power supply and power system operation in 2025.
