More than VND 10 billion invested to supply power for 44 households in especially difficult areas

Bac Giang Power Company in collaboration with the Project Management  Board of Industrial and Civil Investment and Construction successfully energized the power supply project for the last 44 households in Tan Son commune, Luc Ngan district.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh - Deputy Director of the Project Management Board (PMB) said that the construction investment scale of project (the construction investment project consists of) 2 substations of 50kVA-35/0.4kV; 7km of medium voltage lines and 21km of low voltage lines, with a total investment of more than VND10 billion.

This project is under the rural, mountainous and island power supply program in the period of 2013-2020 according to the Decision No. 2081/QD-TTg dated 8 November, 2013 of the Prime Minister.

Mr. Chu Van Then - Vice Chairman of  People's Committee of Tan Son Commune shared that Tan Son commune includes 1,870 households, of which poor households account for 25%. In which, Khuon Tieu and Suoi Am areas are extremely difficult, 100% of residents are ethnic minorities. The construction investment in power supply by the State and the power sector has helped 100% of households in this commune access/to be connected to the national grid.

Previously, Tan Son commune were invested 8 substations under the Rural Energy Project II. With power, people strive to escape of poverty, get rich in their own gardens and plots.
