The symposium was organized online to 30 television spots in units under EVN with such key contents as: Concentrated procurement at units of EVN; deployment of online bidding; application of information technology in the bidding management, etc.
Over the past five years, EVN’s average net investment is about VND 85.000 billion/year. The cost of production and business is in range from VND 30,000-VND 40,000 billion/year. Therefore, “EVN always set the goal to reduce costs, improve efficiency in all stages of the construction investment, production and business” – Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh said.
Particularly, in order to ensure the “competitive, fair, transparent and efficient” bidding, EVN has continuously implemented many solutions in a synchronous manner, namely: Developing the system of internal rules, regulations, process as the basis for the deployment of bidding activities; developing specific criteria for bidding in the emulation scoring system for cost optimization throughout the EVN, evaluating each year for each unit and their leaders; continuously organizing training, intensive seminars on bidding for bidding staffs; Promoting online bidding; introducing the application of Construction investment software, including module for Bidding at units of the Group.
With the online bidding, while in 2009, the Group only performed 10 bidding packages, in 2017, it was approximately 4,000 packages; in the first 10 months of 2018, there were over 4,500 packages performed, of which, the largest one was approximately VND 200 billion.
The transition from traditional bidding forms to online one is considered to make a significant contribution in saving costs, time and human resources. It is expected that in Quarter I of 2019, the Group will hold additional Intensive conference on the bidding work to further improve its performance.
