Reaching a milestone of 25 billion kWh after 7 years of officially commercial operation is an important mark of the plant; demonstrating the efforts of the plant’s personnel in operating the power plant and producing electricity.
Nghi Son 1 Thermal Power Plant is located in Tinh Gia district, Thanh Hoa province, consisting of two power units with a total installed capacity of 600MW (2 x 300MW); the plant construction commenced in July 2010.
Since coming into operation, the plant has annually supplied over 3.6 billion kWh for the national power system. The annual electricity output has reached and exceeded the targeted plan. The indicators such as shutdown rate for maintenance, auxiliary power consumption rate and fuel consumption rate are all lower than their threstholds.
Nghi Son 1 Thermal Power Plant
In 2021, Nghi Son 1 Thermal Power Plant has completed its annual production plan ahead of schedule from 12 December 2021.
During the process of electricity generation, Nghi Son 1 Thermal Power Plant always meets environmental requirements. Environmental parameters such as exhaust gas and wastewater are continuously monitored by an automatic monitoring system, meeting Vietnamese standards. The amount of ash, slag, and gypsum of the power plant has all been consumed approximately 100%.
Nghi Son 1 Thermal Power Plant has also promoted the application of science - technology, digital transformation in many fields to improve the operation management capacity, apply barcodes in material management, administrative management, etc., increase labor productivity, production and business performance, and secure electricity supply.
