The average power output reached 796.7 million kWh/day, of which the largest daily output reached 880.3 million kWh (June 1), the largest load capacity reached 42,146MW (June 21).
Accumulated in the first 6 months of 2021, the power production and import of the whole system reached 128.51 billion kWh, increasing by 7.4% over the same period in 2020; in which the proportion of the mobilized output of some main types of power sources to the total power production of the whole system is as follows::
+ Mobilized hydropower reached 30.46 billion kWh, accounting for 23.7%.
+ Mobilized coal-fired power reached 66.67 billion kWh, accounting for 51.9%.
+ Mobilized gas turbines reached 15.66 billion kWh, accounting for 12.2%.
+ Renewable energy (wind power, solar power, biomass power) mobilized reached 14.69 billion kWh, accounting for 11.4%.
+ Imported power reached 624 million kWh, accounting for 0.5%.
+ Mobilized oil-fired thermal power is insignificant, reaching only 02 million kWh.
In the first 6 months of 2021, the power produced by EVN and Power Generation Corporations (including joint-stock companies) reached 64.39 billion kWh, accounting for 50.11% of the power production of the whole system. In which, the total power output of power plants owned by EVN with 100% capital (excluding EVNGENCO3 and joint-stock companies) reached 37.63 billion kWh, accounting for 29.28%.
The commercial power output of EVN in the first 6 months is estimated at 111.75 billion kWh, an increase of 8.36% over the same period last year.
Power transmission output in June 2021 reached 18.37 billion kWh, the transmission trend is mainly in the direction of Central - North and Central - South. Accumulated 6 months of 2021, transmission power output reached 102.1 billion kWh, increasing by 1.9% over the same period last year.
For business and customer service:
- By the end of June 2021, the rate of customers paying electricity bills without cash reached nearly 70% nationwide; the rate of electricity bills paid in non-cash form reached about 91%.
Regarding the implementation of electricity price reduction, the third reduction of electricity bills: By the end of 30 June 2021, EVN has reduced electricity prices and electricity bills for 11,614 customers with a total reduction of VND 118,557 billion.
For power source projects: EVN and the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) signed a Credit Agreement for the non-government guaranteed preferential loan worth 74.7 million Euros (equivalent to VND 1,900 billion, accounting for 30.8% of the total investment capital for the project) for the Ialy Hydropower Plant Expansion Project; signed contract for package 15 (EPC-QTI) worth about VND 30,236 billion and signed a credit contract to borrow capital for Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant Project.
For power grid projects: In the first 6 months of 2021, 64 works have been commenced; completed energizing 64 110-500kV grid projects, in which important grid projects have been energized, including: My Tho - Duc Hoa 500kV transmission line, PhaLai 220kV transmission line branching to Hai Duong, Unit 2 of Thanh Nghi 220kV substation, energizing and renovating the Hoc Mon - Ba Queo 110kV line (Binh Tan - Ba Queo section), energizing Lao Bao 220kV substation and the Doc Soi - Pleiku 2 500kV line (belonging to the project of 500kV line, circuit 3).
Activities for the community: The total amount of money that EVN and its member units have contributed to and supported the heavily affected provinces and cities, as well as the health sector's COVID-19 prevention and control activities for the community alone since the end of April, is nearly VND 430 billion.
Some work tasks for July and the last months of 2021
It is forecast by EVN that in July 2021, the average daily power consumption of the whole national power system is expected to be 785.3 million kWh/day, the largest consumption capacity of the whole national power system is estimated at 43,000MW.
Operation target of the power system in July 2021:
- Exploiting power sources to ensure optimal concurrent hydropower - thermopower; rationally mobilize hydropower according to the water inflow source, ensuring downstream water supply for localities.
- Power Generation Corporations ensure the most possible availability of power units in the last months of the dry season of 2021.
For construction investment: Striving to complete the power generation of Da Nhim Hydropower Plant Expansion Project in August 2021; speeding up the construction progress of projects: Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion Project, Ialy Hydropower Plant Expansion Project, Infrastructure project of Quang Trach Power Center; striving to ensure the plan of energizing the works: Connecting Hai Duong and Nghi Son 2 BOT Thermal Power Plants; release of renewable energy (Quang Ngai - Quy Nhon 220kV line (Quang Ngai - Phu My section), Nha Trang - Thap Cham 220kV line, Cam Ranh 220kV substation and Dong Ha –Lao Bao 220kV transmission line); ensuring power supply for the West Hanoi - Thuong Tin 500kV transmission line, the Nho Quan - Phu Ly - Thuong Tin 500/220kV transmission line; commencement of key projects: Van Phong 500kV substation, Van Phong - Vinh Tan 500kV transmission line, increasing capacity of Pleiku 2 500kV substation, increasing capacity of Dak Nong 500kV substation, Tuong Duong 220kV substation, Nam Sum - Nong Cong 220kV transmission line and other hydropower releasing projects in the Northwest region, and so on.
