Intensive conference on bidding of EVN taking place on 1st March, in Hoi An, Quang Nam.
At the Conference, Deputy General Director of EVN Nguyen Tai Anh said that over the past 5 years, on average, EVN had invested a net amount of about VND 85,000 billion/year in investment for construction.
In 2018, EVN’s savings rate through bidding reached over 10%. Particularly in the field of construction investment, EVN has implemented with the total estimated number of about 13,900 packages with a total winning value of about VND 44,861 billion, saving about VND 5,093 billion (equivalent to nearly 10.2%). This figure in its production and business is 9,300 packages, total winning value is VND 26,300 billion with saving rate of 9.3%.
In 2018, the online bidding of EVN rapidly increased in both the number of participating units, packages as well as their values.
Particularly, the number of online package carried out by EVN has accounted for over 50% of the number of online package across the country.
In order to gain these achievements, in 2018, EVN strengthened the management and professional capacity of the staffs performing biddings at all levels throughout the Group, through continuous professional training, fostering in both extensive and intensive manner; developing and completing the system of internal rules, regulations, procedures, specific guidelines to serve as a basis for implementing procurement and bidding activities; issuing a Decision on applying contractor qualification assessment results to guide units in assessing contractors’ prestige.
EVN developed specific criteria for bidding in the emulation scoring system to optimize costs for the whole Group, promote online bidding through assigning annual assessment targets; etc.
At the Conference, EVN and its affiliated units exchanged and discussed a number of intensive topics such as: Assessment of contractor qualification; New regulations of the Group on applying contractor qualification assessment results; plans and solutions to strengthen online bidding, etc.
