PECC2 sharply increased revenue thanks to solar power investment

According to the Financial Statement for the first 6 months of 2019 announced by the Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 (PECC2), the unit is "reaping sweet fruits" from these projects in clean energy.

Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 (PECC2) is performing investment in projects with a focus on renewable energy. In particular, the Company has invested 100% of capital in the Solar Power Plant at Vinh Tan Power Center (6,2MW); held the dominant shares in Tan Thuan Wind Power Project (100MW); contributed its capital in associated companies to implement Son My Solar Power Plant project 3.1 (50MW).

According to PECC2's First 6-Month Financial Statements, the unit's revenue has tripled compared to that of the same period in 2018, reaching VND 2,271.5 billion, equivalent to 116% of the annual revenue plan. The profit gained for the first 6 months increased by 15%, reaching VND 140,5 billion.

In the first 6 months of 2019, there are 2 major projects owned by the Company, including solar power projects: Ninh Phuoc 6.1, Ninh Phuoc 6.2, Son My 3.1 have been accepted for payment with the investor, helping the revenue from sale and service provision in this period increased by VND 1,544 billion, an increase of over 210% compared to that of the same period in 2018.

Recently, PECC2 has continued to sign a contract to provide the operation management services for Hoa Hoi Solar Power Plant (Phu Yen) with a capacity of 257MWp and a Memorandum of Understanding for Tan Thuan Wind Power Project (phase 1) with 25MW capacity – the project’s construction is to commenced by the end of 2019.

Hoa Hoi Solar Power Plant is the 6th plant in 2019 that the Company receives and manages the operation, thereby increasing the total power capacity managed by PECC2 to over 400MW.
