Currently, Power Generation Corporation 1 has been making efforts to find and implement renewable energy projects with the desire to expand investment fields and develop the corporation on a regional level.

Meanwhile, TEPCO RP Company, a Japanese company specializing in renewable energy, is interested in contributing capital to Vietnamese energy companies, especially considering Vietnam is one of the important markets in foreign business strategy.
The needs and purposes of the two sides have been realized by a memorandum of understanding signed on April 1, 2023, with cooperation fields including Participating in renewable energy projects development in Vietnam in the form of project investment participation; expanding the existing investment fields of EVNGENCO1; developing Vietnam Electricity Development Joint-Stock Company (a joint-stock company affiliated with EVNGENCO1) by effectively implementing enterprise-owned projects as well as developing new projects.
Some related fields such as technical cooperation, administration, and training are also included in the content of the cooperation agreement between the two sides.
The above cooperation agreement marks an important step in contributing to promoting the cooperation relationship between the two sides and opening up investment cooperation opportunities in renewable energy and related fields. In the coming time, the parties will regularly have meetings to discuss more details, in order to promote the signed provisions into practice soon, and at the same time expand the development of cooperation programs in areas of mutual interest.
