Power sales increased by over 13% in 1st Quarter of 2016

EVN’s Business Department informed that over the first three months of 2016, power sales of EVN as a whole were estimated at 35.1 billion kWh, increasing by 13.08% compared with the same period in 2015. Of which, the domestic power sales were estimated at 34.7 billion kWh, increasing by 13.25% over the same period last year.

In consideration of load consumption categories, power supply was 2.7% for agriculture sector, 52.9% for industry sector, 5.2% for trading, hotels – restaurants, 34.6% for consumption management, and 4.6% for other categories.

In March 2016 alone, the power sales of EVN altogether were estimated at 11.928 billion kWh, increasing by 15.59% over the same period in 2015.

Along with power supply, EVN has paid much attention to well performance of customer services.

In the first quarter, five Customer Care Centers of Power Corporations received 267,345 inquiries in total, completely handled 98.07% of the inquiries. Among the corporations, Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCM) received the most inquiries from customers (accounting for 38.97%), followed by Central Region Power Corporation and Hanoi Power Corporation.

Over the three months, EVN strived to stably generate and supply power, satisfying sufficiently the power demand for socio-cultural, production and business activities and daily use of people, ensuring power supply to the 12th National Party Congress, meeting sessions held by the National Assembly and the Central Committee of the Party, and holidays, etc.
