After the recent historic floods, many schools in the central flood areas of Quang Binh province, especially in two districts of Quang Ninh and Le Thuy, suffered serious damages. Teaching aids, facilities and almost all electrical equipment in classrooms such as televisions, fans, etc., were damaged. In particular, electrical systems that have been soaked in water for a long time are prone to electric failures, and thus unsafe for students when returning to schools.
After surveying the sites, Quang Binh Power Company has provided financial aid and labor to replace the entire damaged electrical systems at two heavily flooded schools, namely Tan Ninh Secondary School and Duy Ninh Kindergarten (Quang Ninh district).

Le Thuy Power Department has purchased materials such as electric wires, light bulbs, switches, sockets, circuit breakers, etc. to repair and replace the damaged electrical system at the Phong Thuy commune health station. Checking and replacement of electrical equipment have been urgently deployed by the Power Department to help the health station perform better medical examination and treatment for the people after the floods.
According to Quang Binh Power Company, the total cost for repairing and replacing electrical equipment at the three locations is nearly VND80 million. In addition, Quang Binh Power Company provided two television sets and some teaching aids for students at Xuan Ninh and Tan Ninh Kindergartens with a cost of nearly VND20 million.
