Ready to transmit power energy from Thuong Kon Tum Hydropower Plant

The Central Project Management Board (CPMB), in cooperation with relevant units has energized, commissioned and put into operation the  Thuong Kon Tum-Quang Ngai 220kV transmission line, which is now ready to transmit power energy from Thuong Kon Tum Hydropower Plant.

The Thuong Kon Tum-Quang Ngai 220kV transmission line project was invested as a two-circuit power line with a total length of about 81.7km and 174 locations. Its first terminal is at Thuong Kon Tum Hydropower Plant and its last terminal is at Quang Ngai 220/110kV substation.

The line goes through KonPlong district (Kon Tum province) and the districts of Ba To, Duc Pho and Mo Duc (Quang Ngai province). The project was invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) and managed by CPMB and has been taken over in operation management by PTC2.

The project is included in the list of transmission grid projects to transmit power energy from Thuong Kon Tum Hydropower Plant (total capacity of 220MW) to the National Power System, to meet reliably power demand in Quang Ngai and Binh Dinh provinces.
