Delegates releasing fingerlings into the bed of Ba Ha River Hydropower reservoir
The reservoir bed of the Ba Ha River Hydropower Plant holds a large basin with a capacity of 350 million m3 of water, which is extremely favorable condition for people in the area to develop the aquaculture.
For this event, SBH released 50,000 freshwater fish fingerlings. In which, many species have high economic benefits and are suitable for the local ecological environment.
Mr. Tran Ly - General Director of SBH shared that that activity was aimed at contributing to the development of natural aquatic resources in the area of Ba Ha River Hydropower Reservoir, creating livelihoods for local people, especially households living in the vicinity of the reservoir bed. This is also an opportunity for SBH and local authorities to strengthen propaganda for people to change, raise awareness of the protection and development of natural aquatic resources, and limit negative human activities to nature that change the ecological environment, especially the exploitation of aquatic products by electric pulses, small mesh nets, etc., leading to the decline of fishery resources.
