Samsung Thai Nguyen thanks EVN for its commitment to ensuring safety in power supply

On 5 January 2021, Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd Thai Nguyen (SEVT Company) sent a letter of thanks to Vietnam Electricity (EVN), for coordination in operation and ensuring safety in power supply, especially during the last New Year Holidays.

Specifically, from 31 December 2020 to 3 January 2021, EVN's subsidiaries interrupted power and improved Yen Binh 3 110kV substation; at the same time coordinated with the power operator unit of SEVT Company to perform an inspection of electrical equipment inside the company. In the letter, Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen Co., Ltd. stated: "Although during the holiday period, but with a sense of responsibility in ensuring the safety of power supply, EVN and related units have made every effort to work day and night to ensure the work progress, as well as complete the items safely and according to schedule".

From 2013 up to now, as soon as SEVT laid its first foundation in Thai Nguyen province, EVN and its subsidiaries have made efforts, concentrated all resources, invested thousands of VND billion in the power network, ensuring the best quality, stable power supply with N-1 criteria serving SEVT, including two 220kV substations, three 110kV substations in Yen Binh area and Diem Thuy 110kV substation.

Thai Nguyen Power Company (under the Northern Power Corporation) has been promoting the application of science and technology, investing in smart grid. Up to now, 100% of 110kV substations in Thai Nguyen province are unmanned, remote-controlled substations, with incident warning equipment.

Currently, the commercial power output of SEVT Company accounts for about 35% of the commercial power output in Thai Nguyen province.
