EVN’s representatives participating at the conference included Deputy General Director Vo Quang Lam, representative of EVN's specialized Boards and Affiliated power corporation.
EDL’s representatives participating at the conference included Mr. Khampaseuth Theppangna - Deputy General Director of EDL, together with representatives of units directly managing, operating power exchange through the provinces along the Vietnam - Laos border.
Based on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Conference of technical management exchange 2017 in Xieng Khoang City - Laos, EVN and EDL have actively implemented agreements in medium and low voltage power trading at 9 points along the border concentrating in the Northern and Central regions of Vietnam. The two sides have properly coordinated in management of operation, solving incidents of power grid, issuing electricity bills, etc., thereby contributing to improving living standards of people residing along the border.
Additionally, EVN also supports EDL in professional training and fostering for staffs, contributing to helping EDL improve their quality of human resources.

At the Conference, the two sides also assessed and reviewed their shortcomings in power supply and trading such as: Difficulty in ensuring safe power grid corridor crossing the border, limitation in the propaganda on saving power energy among households in the border area of Laos, etc.
EVN’s Deputy General Director Vo Quang Lam affirmed that in the coming time, the more effective cooperation between EVN and EDL in the field of power grid connection and power exchange should be strengthened, orientating to the goal of sustainable development in the future.
The two sides also agreed to continue the coordination in training staffs, technical transferring as well as professional experience exchanging between the units to improve the quality of power supply and serve the people of the countries.
