AT2 transformer at Do Luong 220kV Substation has successfully increased capacity

The Do Luong 220kV substation is located in Xuan Bai village, Xuan Son commune, Do Luong district, Nghe An province.

The reinforcement project has the scale of installing a 250MVA transformer and attached equipment and materials, replacing the previous 125MVA transformer. The project also includes completing the control system - protecting and renovating the fire protection system to match the new transformer.

The project was constructed in October 2021. The COVID-19 pandemic during this time has a great impact on the process of implementing and completing the project, but with the efforts of the Power Transmission Project Management Board and construction units, the project was completed to meet the planned schedule on August 20, 2022.

The project is invested to contribute to ensuring a stable, long-term, reliable power supply for socio-economic development in Nghe An province and surrounding areas. In addition, the project also helps to increase the reliability and transmission capacity of the power grid.
