Stringing national power grid wires across National Park, lighting up border villages of Quang Binh

After many years of waiting, the national power grid has now reached two border communes Tan Trach and Thuong Trach, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province.

National power grid reaches people in borderland in Tan Trach and Thuong Trach communes.

Central Power Corporation and Quang Binh Power Company set aside welfare funds to install electrical equipment to give to people living in borderland.

  The Central Power Corporation and Quang Binh Power Company have extracted more than VND 300 million from the welfare funds to support investment in behind-the-meter power grids and installing indoor equipment for households in Tan Trach commune.

Quang Binh Power Company has organized an acceptance test with the investor to energize the project of electricity supply to Tan Trach and Thuong Trach communes.

 

Power sector staff is instructing people to use electricity safely.

The project of grid-connected electricity supply for two communes Tan Trach and Thuong Trach is invested by the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Binh province with a budget of VND 110 billion from the provincial budget, including 6 substations, nearly 49km of medium voltage lines. In this project, more than 27km of lines go underground through the core area of the World Natural Heritage Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.

Mr. Phan Hoai Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Binh province, said that a stable and long-term electricity supply contributes to socio-economic development, serving units located in border areas to ensure national security and defense.
