Successful energizing a 22kV submarine cable route supplying power to Nhon Chau island commune, Binh Dinh province

On August 18, 2020, Central Power Corporation energized successfully a project of power supply by 22kV submarine cable to island commune of Nhon Chau, Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh Province.

The power supply project by submarine cable to Nhon Chau island commune started in May 2020 with a total investment of VND351.5 billion, financed by the European Union (EU), for the purpose of providing stable and continuous power supply from the national grid to more than 650 households on Nhon Chau island

The project of power supply by submarine cable to Nhon Chau island commune has four work items, including:

- A 22kV feeder bay at Song Cau 110kV substation and 12.338 km of 22kV onshore power line (in Song Cau town, Phu Yen province).

- A 22kV submarine cable system across the sea with a length of 10.091 km, connecting from Xuan Hoa commune (Song Cau town, Phu Yen province).

- A power grid on Nhon Chau island (0.935 km of 22kV overhead power line, two 22/0.4kV distribution substations with a total capacity of 650kVA, 4.649 km of 0.4kV power line).

- 12.333km of ADSS fiber optic communication cable.

Power supply to Nhon Chau Island by submarine cable project is a project of socio-political importance of Vietnam Electricity and Central Power Corporation, contributing to ensuring national security and maintaining national sovereignty over territorial and sea islands.
