Right at the launching ceremony of the 7th EVN Pink Week, nearly 300 blood units were collected to support patients
Then, in turn, EVN’s units across the country organized to respond to blood donation according to the planned program.
According to Ass.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ha Thanh - Deputy Director of NIHBT: “In November 2021 alone, at NIHBT, there were more than postponed/canceled 80 blood donation schedules that made more than 20,000 blood units unable to receive as planned. This has caused a shortage of blood sources, many hospitals have not had enough blood for treatment, many patients have to wait for blood transfusions."
Tens of thousands of EVN employees volunteered to register to donate blood
When the community needed it, tens of thousands of EVN employees and their relatives immediately volunteered to register to donate blood. The 7th EVN Pink Week has contributed 9,707 blood units to the "blood bank" nationwide. This is also one of many activities to celebrate the 67th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnam's Power Industry (21 December 1954 - 21 December 2021), at the same time, actively implement "Customer Gratitude Month" with practical activities for the community.
It is known that EVN Pink Week has been implemented since 2015. With the message "Ten thousand hearts - One heart", this event has attracted a large number of EVN employees nationwide to actively respond and participate. After 7 years of organization, more than 64,100 blood units have been donated by EVN staff to the "blood bank" to treat patients.
