Upgrading capacity of Thanh Nghi 220kV substation (Ha Nam) to 500MVA

On the evening of May 18, at Thanh Nghi 220kV substation (Nham Kenh village, Thanh Nghi commune, Thanh Liem district, Ha Nam province), the Power Transmission Project Management Board (NPTPMB) in coordination with other related organizations energized the project of installing the second transformer 220kV – 250MVA (AT2), bringing the total capacity of this substation to 500MVA.

The project is invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) and NPTPMB is assigned to manage and implement the project on behalf of EVNNPT.

The project has been started since November 4, 2020, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2021. However, to prevent overload of the existing AT1 220kV transformer, the project has to be completed in May 2021 under the direction of Vietnam Electricity/the National Power Transmission Corporation.
