Commenced in March 2019, the 220kV Kien Binh - Phu Quoc transmission line is the first 220kV one crossing the sea in Vietnam. The whole route is 80.44km long, of which the marine section is 64.7 km long with 117 posts. The average post span is 600m
The entire electric pole system is manufactured and processed in Vietnam by high-strength steel, hot-dip galvanized, with an outer coating that can withstand the impact of sea salt.
The marine foundation is made of 50-68 prestressed concrete piles, a diameter of D800mm. Each pile is over 31 meters long, resistant to seawater. All piles are produced in Vietnam. The foundation is built by reinforced concrete that can withstand the impact of ocean waves in all weather conditions
The project is designed, managed, built and constructed by the entire team of Vietnamese engineers and workers. All the main building materials of the project are domestically produced in Vietnam
Up to now, the project has been basically completed at 95% of the foundation construction and pier erection quantity
Along with the items on the sea, the items on the mainland - the Kien Luong and Phu Quoc shores are being focused on by construction units to ensure the project's energization in April 2022.
