In order to ensure the working environment, green the space inside and around the plant, creating a green - clean - beautiful landscape, the company has constantly made efforts, always actively researched, improved the system, and invested in many items of equipment to ensure environmental criteria such as improving the electrostatic precipitator system (ESP) and putting it into operation right from the boiler start-up stage, converting HFO oil DO oil, upgrading and installing equipment firing mixed coal fuels, etc. It is required to effectively implement measures for preventing dust emission into the environment in areas likely dust (controlling vehicles transporting ash and slag; automatic loop watering system, keeping the moisture, compacting, covering with tarpaulin at the slag yard, strengthening the sprinkler system, misting to prevent dust at coal import ports, retaining walls of coal warehouses, ash silos, etc.)
At the same time, the company controls dust, emissions, wastewater, and cooling water through an automatic and continuous monitoring system and transmits data to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Binh Thuan Province in accordance with regulations. The environmental protection works operate safely, continuously, and reliably. Concentrations of emission parameters are within allowable limits according to current national environmental technical regulations. The company conducts quarterly environmental supervising and monitoring. The dust, exhaust gas, and wastewater treatment systems are always guaranteed to operate regularly in accordance with the required process. The wastewater after treatment complies with the standards, meeting the requirements of reuse to supply water to suppress dust from coal warehouses, and slag yards, clean coal conveyor belts, and so on.

In addition, in order to create green areas on campus, the company researches to find plants and flowers suitable for the soil, weather, as well as sunny and windy climate of Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province. Since building the plant, the company has planted more than 13,000 trees such as casuarina, canary, bougainvillea, coconut, etc.; planted 108,000 m2 of ornamental grass and the campus of over 23 ha is covered with green, mainly plants and grass varieties with good drought tolerance. Recently, coral reefs, many species of fish, sea urchins, and especially whales appeared at the coal import port of Vinh Tan Power Center, which shows obvious proof of the efficiency in investment and implementation of environmental protection by the unit in the area.
