Of the total installed systems, 1,085 are connected to the national grid, with a combined capacity of approximately 35MW. The remaining 293 systems are zero-export self-produced and self-consumed rooftop solar installations, with a total capacity of around 272MW.

According to leaders of the Bac Ninh Department of Industry and Trade, the province's planned rooftop solar power capacity is expected to reach 3,392MW by 2035, including 1,773MW in the former Bac Giang area and 1,619MW in the former Bac Ninh area.

In parallel with rooftop solar development, Bac Ninh is encouraging the study of the deployment of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), with an anticipated capacity of approximately 900MW. At the same time, the power sector is implementing BESS installations at seven 110kV substations, with a combined capacity of about 40MW. These projects are expected to be completed in 2026, helping enhance power supply reliability and meet the electricity demands of industrial growth.
