Started in December 2024, the construction scale of  Nhon Trach 3 Power Plant - My Xuan branch - Cat Lai 220kV line project consists of a 220kV overhead line originating from Nhon Trach 3 Power Plant connecting to the existing My Xuan - Cat Lai 220kV line, passing through Dai Phuoc and Phuoc An communes, Dong Nai province.

Mr. Le Tuan Anh, Deputy Director of the Power Transmission Project Management Board (NPTPMB), said: This is a project of special importance, taking on the task of releasing the capacity of Nhon Trach 3 Power Plant to the national power system, while contributing to ensuring stable power supply for the Southern region.

Putting the work into operation is of great significance, helping to release the capacity of Nhon Trach 3 Power Plant to the national power system, ensuring safe and continuous power supply for the load center of Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring areas, while strengthening the connection of the 220kV power system, improving reliability, flexibility in operation and stability for the entire national power system.

The project is invested in by EVNNPT, managed and implemented by the Power Transmission Project Management Board (NPTPMB) on behalf of the investor, and will be operated and maintained by Power Transmission Company No. 4 (PTC4) after completion.
