The meeting was also attended by representatives of the National Power System and Electricity Market Operation Company Limited (NSMO).
According to the report presented at the working session, in recent years, the power system in Dak Lak Province has well met the needs of socio-economic development and the electricity demand of local residents. To date, 100% of villages and hamlets in the province have access to the national power grid, with the proportion of households having access to electricity reaching 99.91%.
Dak Lak Power Company is currently managing and supplying electricity to 971,371 customers. In the first six months of 2026, peak load capacity reached 818.6MW, an increase of 22% compared with 2025; power sales reached more than 2.078 billion kWh, an increase of 12.02% compared with the same period.
During the 2021 - 2025 period, EVNCPC completed hundreds of power grid projects in the province, with total investment capital of nearly VND 3.9 trillion. During the 2026 - 2030 period, EVNCPC is expected to continue investing approximately VND 4.324 trillion to develop the Dak Lak power system, focusing on 110kV grid projects and distribution grids to meet increasing load demand, improve power supply reliability, and serve the province’s socio-economic development.
At the same time, to meet the development of load demand and evacuate power from power sources, EVNNPT is implementing 13 power transmission grid projects in the province, including 4 500kV projects and 9 220kV projects. Of these, 10 projects are in the investment preparation stage and 3 projects are under construction. These are all important projects aimed at enhancing transmission capacity, strengthening regional power system connectivity, and meeting the development requirements of the Central Highlands and South Central Coast regions.
According to the Revised Power Development Plan VIII, by 2030, the total capacity of power sources in the province is expected to reach approximately 10,611MW, many times higher than the current load demand. Therefore, at the meeting, delegates focused on discussing solutions for the synchronized development of power sources and transmission grids, ensuring the power evacuation ability, safe and efficient operation, and optimal utilization of investment resources.

Deputy Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee Dao My speaks at meeting
Speaking at the working session, Deputy Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee Dao My proposed that EVN, EVNNPT and EVNCPC continue to comprehensively review the planning of power sources and power grids; develop a list of projects currently being implemented and planned for implementation in the locality so that the parties can coordinate to promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles. At the same time, he emphasized that the development of the power system must ensure synchronization between power sources and grids, and that power grid planning needs to go one step ahead, in line with the local development orientation and the national power system planning.
The Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee also proposed that EVN pay attention to investing in power infrastructure serving industrial parks, logistics, development-driving areas and areas that still face difficulties in electricity supply.
To enhance coordination effectiveness, the province agreed in principle to establish a coordination working group on power development, with the Department of Industry and Trade serving as the focal point, with the participation of units under EVN, EVNNPT and EVNCPC to promptly address difficulties and obstacles arising during the implementation of power projects.
