On the EVN side, the meeting was also attended by EVN Vice President Pham Le Phu.
During the meeting, representatives of JAKS Hai Duong Power Company provided an overview of the operational situation of the Hai Duong BOT Thermal Power Plant, while also exchanging views on several cooperation orientations in Vietnam’s energy sector, including renewable energy, LNG-to-power, waste-to-energy, energy storage systems, and new energy solutions aligned with energy transition trends.

Speaking at the meeting, EVN Chairman Dang Hoang An acknowledged the cooperation of JAKS Hai Duong Power Company throughout the investment and operation process of the Hai Duong BOT Thermal Power Plant. EVN’s leadership requested the company to continue closely coordinating with EVN and relevant parties in plant operation activities to ensure safety, stability, and efficiency, while complying with Vietnamese laws and related commitments.
The two sides also exchanged views on several issues of mutual interest in the energy sector, in line with the development orientation of Vietnam’s power system and the cooperation needs of both parties.
EVN reaffirmed its readiness to exchange and share information within an appropriate scope, based on the principles of cooperation, transparency, and compliance with current regulations.
The Hai Duong Thermal Power Plant (Hai Phong) was developed under the BOT (Build – Operate – Transfer) model, with JAKS Hai Duong Power Company serving as the investor. The project consists of two generating units with a total installed capacity of 1,200MW and was commercially commissioned during the period 2020–2021.
