Representatives of EVN and ADB exchange views during working session on morning of May 12

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the cooperation between EVN and ADB in the energy sector, including technical assistance, financing arrangements for power projects, and cooperation orientations supporting Vietnam’s energy transition process.

ADB representatives shared information on several regional technical assistance programs in the energy sector, focusing on new development trends in transmission infrastructure, offshore wind power, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and regional grid interconnection.

EVN Vice President Nguyen Tai Anh acknowledged and highly appreciated ADB’s continued interest and support for Vietnam’s power sector in recent years. He also expressed EVN’s desire to continue receiving ADB’s cooperation and support in studying, preparing, and implementing programs and projects aligned with the Group’s development orientation and the requirements for ensuring national energy security.

Both sides agreed to continue strengthening information exchange and promoting cooperation in the energy sector, particularly as Vietnam is accelerating its energy transition process, modernizing power infrastructure, and enhancing regional interconnection.
