On the IAEA side were Mr. Mikhail Chudakov – IAEA Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Nuclear Energy; Mr. Eric Mathet – Head of the Integrated Nuclear Infrastructure Review (INIR) Mission of the IAEA in Vietnam in 2025, along with representatives from the Vietnam Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety (VARANS).
On the EVN side were Mr. Dang Huy Cuong – Member of the EVN Board of Directors, along with leaders of EVN’s functional departments.

At the meeting, both sides reviewed and evaluated the results of their cooperation over the past 10 years, during which 20 workshops and training courses were organized on topics such as nuclear power technology assessment, nuclear power project management, integrated management, nuclear safety culture, construction supervision, and human resource training, among others. These activities have contributed to enhancing EVN’s professional capacity and operational skills.
Notably, since 2024, following the National Assembly’s issuance of Resolution No. 174 to continue the investment policy for the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project, the IAEA has promptly supported Vietnam in implementing the Integrated Nuclear Infrastructure Review (INIR) Mission Phase 2.

At the session, EVN expressed its desire to continue cooperating with the IAEA in developing nuclear power infrastructure, focusing on improving project management capacity, procurement processes, integrated management systems for investors, and preparing human resources for the construction and operation phases of nuclear power plants.
