The USABC delegation was led by Ms. Penny Burtt – President of Boeing Southeast Asia, along with representatives of U.S. enterprises operating and investing in the energy sector in Vietnam.
On EVN’s side, the meeting was also attended by EVN Vice President Nguyen Tai Anh and representatives from relevant departments of the Group.

During the meeting, both sides focused on discussing opportunities for cooperation in power generation development, modernization of grid infrastructure, and the application of technologies to enhance system operation efficiency, while also addressing issues related to policy frameworks and conditions for implementing energy projects in Vietnam.
Chairman Dang Hoang An noted that Vietnam’s power sector is facing the need for strong development in both scale and quality—not only to meet socio-economic development demands but also to gradually realize energy transition goals, emission reduction targets, and improvements in the reliability of electricity supply. In this context, strengthening cooperation with international partners, including the U.S. business community, is of great importance.

EVN’s leadership emphasized that the EVN is ready to work with partners to exchange information and explore solutions suitable to the practical conditions of Vietnam’s power system, based on compliance with legal regulations and ensuring overall efficiency.

Representatives of USABC enterprises highly appreciated EVN’s role in ensuring electricity supply for the economy and expressed their desire to continue accompanying Vietnam in the development of the power sector. Discussions focused on several key areas, including improving system reliability, developing infrastructure for LNG-to-power projects, promoting renewable energy, accelerating digital transformation, and applying advanced technologies in the power sector.
In his remarks, Chairman Dang Hoang An acknowledged the cooperative spirit, goodwill, and proposals from U.S. enterprises, noting that EVN always encourages solutions that enhance system efficiency, support infrastructure modernization, and meet the evolving energy development needs of Vietnam.
Both sides agreed to maintain dialogue, share information, and coordinate in exploring appropriate cooperation opportunities in the future.
