EVN Vice President Nguyen Dinh Phuoc meets with Asian Development Bank (ADB)

On the afternoon of May 4 in Hanoi, EVN Vice President Nguyen Dinh Phuoc received and held a working meeting with a delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

The ADB delegation was led by Mr. Daniel Wiedmer – Director of the Private Infrastructure Investment Division.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the status of cooperation in recent years, orientations for the development of power infrastructure projects in the coming period, as well as possibilities for strengthening coordination in mobilizing financial resources for key projects serving the development of the power system.

EVN Vice President Nguyen Dinh Phuoc noted that EVN is focusing on implementing investment and development tasks for power generation and transmission infrastructure in line with the orientation of the revised National Power Development Plan VIII. In the context of increasing capital demand for power projects, EVN places great importance on expanding cooperation with international financial institutions, including ADB, in accordance with current regulations and the practical needs of the Group.

ADB representatives highly appreciated EVN’s role in the development of Vietnam’s power system and expressed their desire to continue accompanying EVN through exchanges and the exploration of suitable cooperation opportunities in the field of energy infrastructure, including projects that contribute to improving power system operational efficiency and supporting the energy transition process.

Both sides agreed to maintain professional exchanges and coordinate in reviewing areas with potential for cooperation, thereby further promoting the partnership between EVN and ADB in the coming period.
