EVN Vice President Nguyen Dinh Phuoc works with Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB)

On 23 April 2026, in Hanoi, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Phuoc, Vice President of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), welcomed and worked with a delegation from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
Attending the meeting on the AIIB side were Mr. Hari Bhaskar, Public Sector Manager, and Ms. Do Bich Ngoc, Senior Public Sector Energy Investment Officer.

Meeting between EVN leaders and representatives of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) on morning of 23 April 2026
During the working session, the two sides discussed various cooperation opportunities concerning financing arrangements for Vietnam Electricity (EVN)’s projects and those of its member units, while exchanging information on investment demand in power generation, power transmission, and other energy infrastructure sectors.
Speaking at the meeting, EVN Vice President Nguyen Dinh Phuoc highly appreciated AIIB's interest and support for EVN's projects. EVN leaders proposed that the two sides continue to maintain close communication, promptly exchange information, and coordinate with relevant parties to advance suitable cooperation, thereby ensuring efficiency, compliance with regulations, and the effective implementation of future projects.
Both sides also agreed to maintain a professional exchange mechanism to further discuss technical and financial matters and define a roadmap for future cooperation.
On the same day, EVN Vice President Nguyen Dinh Phuoc also held a meeting with representatives from the World Bank (WB).
