Within the framework of the Vietnam–Korea Economic Forum held on April 23 in Hanoi, Vietnam Electricity (EVN) exchanged two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with Korean partners, expanding cooperation in areas such as grid management technology, transmission stability, and energy infrastructure development.
As part of the State visit to Vietnam by President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Myung and his spouse, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and President Lee Jae Myung co-chaired the Vietnam–Korea Economic Forum in Hanoi on the afternoon of April 23 under the theme “Enhancing Industrial, Investment and Science & Technology Partnerships.” The forum was attended by leaders of ministries and sectors from both countries, along with representatives of leading enterprises from Vietnam and Korea.
On behalf of EVN, Chairman of the Board of Directors Dang Hoang An attended the roundtable discussion within the forum and represented EVN in exchanging cooperation memorandums with Korean partners.

Specifically, EVN exchanged a MOU with Hyosung Heavy Industries Corporation on grid management technology and transmission stability, and another MOU with Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) on energy infrastructure development.
In recent years, EVN has cooperated with many Korean enterprises in power projects. To meet economic growth targets, EVN is implementing an investment program for power sources and grid development with an annual scale of approximately USD 5 billion. The focus is on developing smart grids, accelerating digital transformation toward becoming a digital enterprise by 2030, as well as promoting renewable energy, advancing the energy transition, and increasing the localization rate of electrical equipment.
The Vietnam–Korea Economic Forum was held in the context of steadily strengthening cooperation between the two countries after more than 30 years of diplomatic relations, with a focus on promoting collaboration in industry, investment, trade, and science and technology.
