Social security activities are implemented regularly and continuously
In the 2020 - 2025 period, in the context of many financial difficulties, Vietnam Electricity and its units still strive to carry out social security activities in accordance with the actual conditions of each unit. The total direct contribution to social security for the years 2020 - 2025 is more than VND1,262 billion. Notably, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire Group joined hands and unanimously overcame difficulties, implementing many social security programs that created a widespread impact. In 2020 and 2021, EVN implemented 5 electricity price reductions and electricity bill reductions with a total amount of more than VND16,950 billion. At the same time, many activities were implemented to support and assist in epidemic prevention for localities and medical facilities with a budget of nearly VND613 billion, of which EVN supported the COVID-19 Vaccine Fund with an amount of VND400 billion, and supported 24,000 computers with a corresponding amount of VND60 billion for the program "Waves and computers for children".
At the same time, carrying out the mission of supplying power with increasingly better quality and service, EVN has strived to bring light to people across the country. By the end of 2024, 100% of communes, 99.83% of households, and 99.74% of rural households will have electricity. Many projects to bring national electricity to remote areas and islands have been implemented by the Group. These projects do not set business efficiency as the goal, but aim to contribute to ensuring national security and defense, improving the lives of soldiers and people in remote areas, and promoting the marine economy, etc.

In addition, a series of public service activities and charity programs associated with the EVN brand have created a widespread impact on social communities, such as the Lighting Up the Countryside program, EVN scholarship awarding program... Accordingly, in the 2022 - 2025 period, EVN has awarded more than 1,000 scholarships to students with outstanding achievements and overcoming difficulties at 6 leading technical training institutions, including: Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Hanoi University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, University of Technology - University of Danang, and University of Electricity. Thereby, affirming EVN's commitment to accompany university education to foster high-quality human resources for the country.

In particular, over the past years, employees and workers of units throughout the Group have enthusiastically participated in the Pink Week voluntary blood donation program, with the desire to contribute their small part to bring better things to the community and society. After 10 years of organization, the EVN Pink Week program has contributed 94,844 units of blood to "blood banks" nationwide, contributing to the treatment of patients, and at the same time, constantly spreading the spirit of humanity in the community.

In provinces and cities across the country, EVN units and employees are actively and voluntarily participating in social security activities such as: supporting people in disaster areas to overcome the consequences of storms and floods; supporting the construction and repair of local schools; supporting funding for building and repairing gratitude houses, "Great Unity" houses, housing for poor households, families in difficult circumstances, policy families, etc. In addition, EVN units also care for and support Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, support the poor, take care of families and policy beneficiaries, and families with meritorious services to the revolution in the locality.

The units also carry out specific social security activities, suitable to the local situation. For example, in the three years from 2021 to 2023, joining hands with the program "Smiles Light Up the Future", Hanoi Electricity Corporation (EVNHANOI) has sponsored a total of 204 children to receive free surgery for congenital facial deformities. The program has brought profound meaning as it not only helps to cure the deformities for the children but also brings new smiles and a brighter future for the children and their families. In 2024, EVNHANOI also continued to sponsor surgery for 70 cases of patients with cleft lip and cleft palate.
Recently, in 2025, when the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) celebrates 50 years of construction and development, instead of holding a celebration, the Party Committee and leaders of the Corporation decided to spend all the savings from this activity and mobilize more, spending VND18.9 billion to support the construction of 315 houses, supporting the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in 21 southern provinces and cities. EVNSPC and its member units are also continuing to mobilize other funding sources from outside to support the construction of 500 more houses for poor households and households with housing difficulties, with a total cost of VND30 billion.
