According to the report at the ceremony, the Quy Nhon Port 110kV substation and connection line is an important project in the Power Development Plan of Binh Dinh Province for the period 2021-2030. The project aims to meet the increasing load demand in the center of Quy Nhon City, while also sharing the load and supporting the capacity of neighboring 110kV substations, reducing the power supply radius, ensuring voltage quality, and reducing capacity and power losses on the distribution grid. The project also plays an important role in ensuring energy infrastructure for the development of seaports, logistics, attracting investment, and developing coastal urban areas - in line with the orientation of sustainable marine economic development of Binh Dinh Province and the South Central region.

The project’s scale consists of: constructing 01 110/22kV substation with capacity of 2x63MVA (01 63MVA transformer is installed in this phase); a 110kV double-circuit line (one circuit is installed in this phase first), 1.8 km of overhead line and 4.025km of 110kV underground cable; constructing 01 new 110kV bay at Dong Da 110kV substation. The total investment cost of the project is VND 298 billion.
