The total power production and imports of the system in June reached 28.2 billion kWh. Accumulated for the first six months of 2025, the total output reached 155.79 billion kWh, with the highest daily output reaching 1.04 billion kWh and peak load at 51,672MW. The proportion of power generation sources mobilized across the entire system in the first six months of the year is as follows:

• Hydropower: 36.5 billion kWh, accounting for 23.4%.
• Coal-fired power: 84.6 billion kWh, accounting for 54.3%.
• Gas turbines: 10.27 billion kWh, accounting for 6.6%.
• Renewable energy: 20.98 billion kWh, accounting for 13.5% (of which solar power was 13.63 billion kWh and wind power was 6.71 billion kWh).
• Imported power: 3.24 billion kWh, accounting for 2.1%.

The power transmission output for June 2025 is estimated at 22.7 billion kWh; the cumulative total for the first six months is estimated at 124.7 billion kWh, with the maximum transmission capacity through the North-Central interface reaching 3,959MW and the Central-South interface reaching 5,625MW.

Business and Customer Service: EVN directed Power Corporations to actively follow the plan for restructuring and merging administrative units to implement synchronized tasks such as: (i) Promote and disseminate information about the organizational model changes to customers to prevent impersonation activities; (ii) Ensure continuous and stable customer service; (iii) Standardize the organizational model and transition to data management, keeping the customer codes unchanged, and updating the new administrative units.

To date, all Power Corporations have completed the standardization of the organizational model and customer communication tasks; electricity services have been maintained smoothly, with billing, payment collection, and customer care through online channels and the customer hotline operating normally without interruption.

Construction investment: In the first half of 2025, EVN's leadership has frequently and directly inspected key project construction sites, directing units to promptly address any issues. In particular, they have worked closely with local authorities and ministries to promptly resolve challenges related to compensation and site clearance, and associated procedures to accelerate the progress of projects.

Key achievements: (i) Groundbreaking of two power projects: Bac Ai Pumped Storage Hydropower and Tri An Hydropower Plant (HPP) Expansion; (ii) Launching ceremony and emulation campaign for the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line; (iii) Commencing 80 projects and energizing 124 grid projects (110 - 500kV), including: Monsoon - Thanh My 500kV transmission line, Huoi Quang - Nghia Lo 220kV transmission line, Phu Binh 2 220kV substation; (iv) Several major projects received investment approval: Quynh Luu, Ninh Son 500kV substations; Hai Phong - Thai Binh 500kV transmission line; Son La - Dien Bien, Lao Cai - Than Uyen, Long Bien - Mai Dong, Hai Phong - Gia Loc, Hong Ngu - Chau Doc, Tan Son Nhat - Thuan An, Long Thanh - Hitech 220kV transmission lines; Chau Doc - Kien Binh 220kV transmission line renovation.

Restructuring and reorganization: EVN has completed the restructuring and streamlining of the support apparatus for the parent company - EVN: Reduced the number of departments/offices; terminated the operations of two dependent accounting units; established the Quang Trach Thermal Power Plant under EVN to prepare for the reception, management, and operation of the Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant. EVN has also approved the plan to streamline and restructure the organizational structure of 9 EVN member corporations; completed the organization and restructuring of the power companies, aligning with the administrative unit restructuring starting from July 1, 2025.

Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation: In implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, by the Politburo on breakthrough development in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, EVN has largely completed the establishment of foundational databases serving core operational areas includes 26 shared software systems, creating 12 specialized data warehouses (such as power customers, electricity measurement, construction investment, contractors, material and equipment prices, etc.).

In addition, EVN has implemented the transformation of information technology systems according to the new administrative boundary restructuring model and the two-tier government model; completed the customer information management system with customer data being standardized with the National Population Database and ready for integration as required by the Government; connected to the national public service system following the changes in administrative boundaries.

Corporate Social Responsibility: In the first half of 2025, EVN and its member units have carried out numerous meaningful social welfare activities with a total value of approximately VND 69.3 billion. Notably, EVN has actively participated in sponsoring and supporting the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in many localities, with a total amount of VND 44.8 billion.

Some key tasks for July 2025

Continue to thoroughly and effectively implement the tasks assigned in the directives of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Industry and Trade regarding solutions to ensure sufficient power supply for production, business, and public life in 2025 and the 2026-2030 period. Proactively deploy solutions to ensure the progress and quality of power source and grid infrastructure projects according to the revised 8th Power Planning, the Plan for implementing the revised 8th Power Planning, and the local-level Power Planning and implementation plans.

Regarding electricity production and supply:

In July, the Northern region enters the peak flood season, while the Central and Southern regions begin their flood season. The Group will closely cooperate with the National Load Dispatch Center and Electricity Market Operation Company (NSMO) to maximize the exploitation of multi-purpose hydropower reservoirs in the North and gradually increase the exploitation of hydropower reservoirs in the Central and Southern regions to optimize the operation of various power sources in the national power system, meet flood prevention requirements, and ensure the safety of dams and key infrastructure.

• The Power Generation Corporations and other power generation units ensure adequate fuel supply for electricity production according to the system's demand; strengthen the inspection and monitoring of power plants, especially coal-fired thermal power plants in the North, to ensure the availability and reliability of the units; and develop specific plans for disaster prevention, storm and flood control, ensuring absolute safety for dams and key infrastructure at hydropower plants.
• The National Power Transmission Corporation ensures the highest availability of transmission lines and equipment; continues to strengthen the review and effective implementation of solutions to minimize transmission grid incidents.
• The Power Corporations/Power Companies continue to work closely with local authorities to implement electricity-saving solutions and focus on ensuring safety to prevent electrical accidents and fires caused by the power grid in public areas, residential areas, and recreational zones. Develop and announce annual, monthly, weekly, and daily operation plans/methods, including contingency plans for extreme situations that may cause an imbalance between electricity supply and demand, and proactively report to the Department of Industry and Trade in provinces and centrally-run cities. Additionally, promote, guide, and support citizens and businesses in effectively implementing the direct electricity purchase and sale mechanism under Decree No. 57/2025/ND-CP dated March 3, 2025, and the mechanism for developing rooftop solar power sources for self-production and self-consumption under Decree No. 58/2025/ND-CP dated March 3, 2025.

Regarding construction investment: The units focus intensively on implementing solutions to ensure the completion/groundbreaking progress of key projects and works to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), such as Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion, Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant, the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line and the Lao Cai, Vinh Yen 500kV substations, the connection of Nhon Trach 3&4 Thermal Power Plants, the Nghia Lo - Viet Tri 220kV transmission line, the capacity upgrade of the Lai Chau, Hoa Binh, Viet Tri 500kV substations, and other projects registered by the units.

Other tasks:

• Collaborate with NSMO to develop the power supply and national power system operation plan for 2026 as directed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
• Actively implement key tasks in the "Science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation development plan of Vietnam Electricity," focusing on researching and applying AI, Big Data, and automation technologies to the Group's business and production activities.
• Continue to coordinate with relevant units to synchronize customer data and other data supporting government operations for the National Data Center.

To ensure power supply for economic development and the well-being of the people under all circumstances, EVN greatly appreciates the continued support and proactive cooperation of citizens and electricity users by thoroughly adopting energy-saving practices, especially during peak hours, such as midday (1:00 PM to 3:00 PM) and evening (9:00 PM to 11:00 PM). Special attention should be paid to using air conditioners efficiently, turning them on only when necessary, and setting the temperature at 27°C or higher. Additionally, users should avoid operating multiple high-power electrical devices simultaneously during peak hours. Thorough energy conservation will not only reduce the risk of electrical accidents but also help mitigate the increase in electricity bills.
